Training

Q. Are the the classes like school?

A. Our training programs incorporate proven to be successful methods of educating adults.  We combine techniques which include role playing, lecture, question and answer, group projects, multi-media presentations.  Beverages are provided and ample time to get away for a lunch break is scheduled.  We want people to get the most out of each and every minute they attend and we want to make it a pleasurable experience for all concerned.

Q. How long are the programs?

A. Each program is designed to meet the needs of that profession. The programs are one to three full days, depending upon the agenda.  Please refer to the course descriptions for further information. 

Q. How much does it cost?

A. The trainees are not charged a fee. Corporate clients pay, with the amount determined by a number of factors, including what AFG products and services are incorporated into their organizations.

Q. What if I don’t have a job, but want one?

A. Contact us.  If you have an interest in getting information about career opportunities in the automotive industry, we’d love to talk to you!  We are always looking for good people! 

Q. What types of positions do you recruit?

A. Sales, Finance, Managers, Service Advisors, Technicians, Bodywork, Office – all of ‘em!

Q. Where is training held?

A. Training is usually held at our location in Grapevine.  This removes all the distractions inherent in having training at a dealership and allows participants to totally focus on the opportunity at hand.  We will work with clients located outside our immediate area when they desire to bring our training closer to home for their groups.

Q. Who is a candidate for the training programs?

A. Only people employed by our clients, registered in advance, may attend. Newly hired associates should be sent to training after a week or two of general orientation at the dealership. Managers send experienced associates for a re-energizing focus, to help work through a slump or to help high-performing associates go to a still higher level.
